Monday Spotlight: Mamas on the Move
I always say “Show me a Mama and I’ll show you Hustle”.
These two Mamapreneurs, Therese Miu and Alyce Chan ( pictured below) are by no means short of hustle, heart and all of the excellence required to execute it.
These Mamas have aligned forces ( ummmm yasssss…that means collaboration) to infuse Comedy and Cameras for a Cause to support the change and dialogue around mental illness. This collaboration represent the dynamic combination of a sister’s love amplified with marketing prowess and comedic ingenuity to educate, entertain and engage the masses around mental health.
Mental Illness is a very passionate topic that affects a lot of Mamas personally and Therese Miu’s story is no different. She experienced the first hand effects of supporting her family member battling mental illness for years which were often challenged by cultural stigmas.
Frustrated and seeking to make a change – Her creative engine went into change maker mode to change the context and platform of mental illness.
She was determined to change the dialogue and amplify the action around mental illness in Asian- American communities. Therese and Alyce decided to partner up to amplify their voices collectively to be more vocal on this topic to say mental illness affects every race, religion, culture and community.
In this moment these Mamas gave birth to “Comedy and Cameras for a Cause”.
